Publish to Position Yourself As a Market Expert

As an insurance professional, one of the most critical requirements of your job is to establish credibility with your clients and prospects. But how do you reach this goal? In other words, how do you position yourself as an industry expert, as someone with the answers to all of the difficult questions?

The best thing you can do for your audience is to build trust by providing invaluable information.  One way of doing that is by regularly submitting articles to a local business journal, or even to a national trade journal.  Now if you consider yourself an excellent writer, a big pat on the back to you.  But the reality is most agents do not have the time or comfort in their own writing ability to consistently pen articles on topics of importance to their target market.

Tips for having a baby when you’re on holiday

The world – well, certain sections of the press anyway, are getting all excited about Samantha Cameron and her new baby, Florence Rose Endellion. She was born whilst her parents were on holiday in Cornwall and, although born one month early, you can’t help  suspect that her parents were well prepared for the event or at least someone made pretty sure they were prepared.

How to help your teen be a better driver

As Robin Thompson left her job as a school nurse in Atlanta, Ga., she waited for the customary call from her 16-year-old daughter, Ashley, telling her she was home from school.

The call never came.

“As I neared our home I saw a road block. Police and rescue workers were everywhere and a car that looked all too familiar was wrapped around a tree,” Robin Thompson wrote on the website SafeTeenDrivingClub.org. She founded the organization after Ashley’s 2003 death in a single-car accident that did not involve drinking or distractions from friends or a cell phone.

What does safari travel insurance actually cover me for?

Are safaris dangerous? What happens if I get eaten by a lion? The chances of that are pretty slim, in fact you’re more likely to get eaten by a shark surfing off the coast of Australia – there are 15 attacks and one death a year apparently – but safaris are classified by underwriters as activities and as such carry their own risk.
